Intern Hardware Verification Engineer

TL;DR

Intern Hardware Verification Engineer: Supporting the verification of next-generation hardware designs with an accent on functional correctness, performance, and reliability. Focus on developing, executing, and debugging verification environments and contributing to real-world silicon development projects.

Location: Mexico, Guadalajara. Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship)

What you will do

• Help develop automation in execution and debugging using SW skills.
• Assist in assessing process health and defect identification during verification.
• Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with Hardware validation engineers and Designers in lab activities.
• Review procedures and methodologies to improve efficiency and find better tools and innovative validation strategies.
• Collaborate with other validation areas of Design, BIOS, System validation, and other different teams to support development and data collection and debug and/or analysis and/or documentation and/or reporting.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electricity, Mechatronics, or computer engineering or a STEM related field.
• 3 months of experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, probes, multimeters, programmers, etc. to analyze low and high-speed electronic signals.
• 3 months of experience with PC component architecture and how variations affect overall PC functionality and performance.
• 3 months of experience with Windows and Linux OS.
• Advance English level.
• Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python and running tests and debug components from command line interfaces.
• Good board-level debug skills and analyze complex electronic circuits and systems.
• Keeping track of providing support to several programs simultaneously.
