Business Intelligence Intern

TL;DR

Business Intelligence Intern (Data Analytics): Supporting the hirify.global Health Education team by contributing to data reporting and analytics to inform business decisions with an accent on data quality checks and validation across reporting outputs. Focus on identifying trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Location: This is a remote or home-based role, open to various locations in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.

Salary: $28/hour for undergraduate students, $30/hour for graduate students

What you will do

• Learn and use the team’s business intelligence tools, systems, and data sources.
• Assist with building, updating, and maintaining dashboards and reports.
• Support data quality checks and validation across reporting outputs.
• Write and refine queries to extract and prepare data for analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and reporting needs.
• Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities while communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field of study with a graduation date of May 2027.
• Demonstrate proficiency in working with data using tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, or similar.
• Exhibit solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with an openness to learning new tools and methods.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills to document findings and share ideas clearly.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus, but not required.
• Basic understanding of relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server is advantageous.
