What you will do
- Lead the design and development of scalable C# services and secure RESTful APIs for billing and settlement.
- Guide architectural direction and contribute directly to core services within a distributed ecosystem.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and security to support global high-volume transactions.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentorship, and strengthening engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product and site reliability teams to deliver resilient, high-quality technical solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues through structured root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Lead level experience with C# and SQL Server.
- Proven expertise in developing secure, RESTful APIs.
- Strong capability in system design for distributed, event-driven architectures.
- Prior experience in a technical leadership or mentoring role while remaining hands-on.
- Must have full working rights in New Zealand.
- Professional and articulate communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with major payment schemes or point-of-sale equipment.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
