What you will do

• Lead research, prototyping, and production deployment of API/webhook-based connectors and integrations.
• Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable system architectures and data workflows.
• Own data contracts and collaborate with upstream engineering and product teams on requirements and tradeoffs.
• Ensure engineering excellence through testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and operational monitoring.
• Participate in on-call rotations and define metrics for observability and alerting.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to foster high-quality code and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Romania or able to work remotely from Romania.
• 5+ years professional experience with Python and 2+ years with Java.
• Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs, webhooks, and managing data contracts.
• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures (AWS Lambda), and queuing systems (SNS/SQS).
• Proficiency with deployment pipelines, Git, Docker, SQL (MySQL), and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation including runbooks and knowledge guides.
