What you will do

• Maintain, design, and extend scalable ETL pipelines and backend services following best software engineering practices.
• Work with Java (Spring), Python, Airflow, AWS, SQL, shell scripting, and CI/CD tools to build and automate data workflows.
• Collaborate with operations to build and maintain cloud infrastructure and automate common tasks.
• Engage with business partners to align priorities with architectural and security standards.
• Support junior engineers through code reviews and guidance, and assist in planning and delivering high-level work.

Requirements

• Must have 4-6 years of commercial experience in software engineering with strong Java and Python skills.
• Experience with Java 17+, Spring framework, AWS cloud services, SQL, and XML parsing.
• Advocate for clean code, architectural design patterns, and CI/CD best practices.
• Positive, collaborative mindset with ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Location requirement: based in Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale content management systems and big data.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, Oracle/MySQL databases, Airflow.
