What you will do
- Plan deliverables with project leads and architects, validate feasibility, and drive development throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure technical alignment, coordinate dependencies, assign tasks, and lead decision-making processes.
- Break down complex technical deliverables, manage project roadmaps, and keep stakeholders informed of risks and trade-offs.
- Motivate and enable engineering teams to advance complex technical topics.
- Manage day-to-day operations of engineering teams in an agile environment, monitoring team health and development status.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including performance assessment and career development.
- Participate in recruitment by conducting interviews and evaluating candidates for skills and cultural fit.
- Oversee build stability and performance, ensuring the game runs crash-free at target framerate.
- Understand the codebase and contribute minor programming to engine systems.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Canada or able to work within the Canadian team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- One or more shipped AAA titles with experience across all production stages including post-launch.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with JIRA and agile methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with Unreal Engine and its production pipelines.
- Knowledge of C++ programming.
- Experience with Agile and Kanban software development methodologies.
- Experience on live service game titles.
