What you will do

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scenarios for financial trading and clearing systems using tools like k6, JMeter, and Gatling
• Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and produce actionable performance reports
• Build and maintain observability dashboards and alerts; perform real-time production triage and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with SRE, infrastructure, and development teams to resolve performance issues
• Provide performance input during architecture reviews and advocate best practices

Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of performance engineering experience, preferably in banking or financial services
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher
• Work location hybrid in Poland with regular office presence
• Expertise with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling) and scripting languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Bash)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics) and production incident support
• Knowledge of Linux, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to have

• Experience with financial market infrastructure and FIX protocol
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and modern observability standards
• Contributions to open-source performance or observability projects
• ISTQB Performance Testing certification or equivalent
