TL;DR

QA Automation Technical Lead (Java/Unity): Leading the QA automation strategy and technical architecture for the Solitaire studio with an accent on client-server interaction, Unity game engine specifics, and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on scaling automation frameworks, mentoring engineers, and optimizing quality metrics for high-traffic mobile games.

Location: Hybrid (Warsaw, Poland): 3 days per week from the office, 2 days remotely

What you will do

  • Develop and implement the test automation strategy, standards, and quality guidelines.
  • Define the automation architecture for Unity clients and related services, including APIs and back-office.
  • Lead the automation team through workload management, coaching, and individual development plans.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar tools.
  • Analyze quality metrics, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis to improve release quality.
  • Participate in roadmap and feature planning to estimate risks and define test coverage.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of automation testing experience with Java, Spring, TestNG, Appium, and WebDriver.
  • 1+ year in a QA Lead or Technical Lead role managing processes and people.
  • Strong knowledge of client-server architecture and hands-on API testing experience.
  • Experience with SQL databases and CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity).
  • English: Intermediate level or higher (written and spoken).
  • Must be based in or able to work from Warsaw, Poland.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing automation frameworks specifically for Unity games.
  • Background in mobile gaming, F2P monetization, and user analytics.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
