Founding Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Own cloud architecture end-to-end including design, deployment, and maintenance using infrastructure-as-code
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows
• Make product and UI/UX decisions for internal tools and customer-facing experiences
• Design and manage data layers and collaborate with quantum ML researchers to bring experimental methods to production
• Define engineering standards, code review practices, and development workflows
• Write and maintain specs and documentation across the full stack

Requirements

• 5+ years professional engineering experience with ownership of technical direction
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript used daily
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD, and cloud security fundamentals
• Strong system design and architecture skills across the stack
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and AI-first development mindset
• Comfort with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and working in a small team

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and cloud/security certifications
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks
• Experience with AI coding agents like Copilot or Cursor
• Previous founder or early-stage startup experience
• Familiarity with distributed computing patterns
