Senior Frontend Engineer

TL;DR

Salary: £58,810 – £80,190 per annum

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and evolve production-grade user interfaces using React and TypeScript
• Turn complex sports data into intuitive and performant user experiences
• Collaborate closely with backend, design, and data engineers to deliver end-to-end features
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, performance improvements, and release workflows
• Support and mentor engineers through collaboration and code reviews
• Debug and resolve issues across browsers, devices, and environments

Requirements

• Location: Must work hybrid with minimum 2 days per week in office in the UK (Basingstoke, London, or Bristol)
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern UI libraries such as Tailwind CSS, React Router, and React Query
• Experience with APIs and JSON-based data
• Practical experience with automated testing (Cypress, Jest, or similar)
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring other engineers

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js
• Exposure to AWS or cloud technologies
• Experience with video integrations, real-time applications, or data visualisation
• Exposure to 3D rendering or WebGL
• Interest in sports, data visualisation, or real-time systems
