What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 DBAs, serving as the main technical escalation point.
- Ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and security of PostgreSQL and MySQL environments on AWS RDS and on-premises.
- Design and implement high availability, failover, load balancing, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Drive automation with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure management.
- Manage Linux environments hosting databases, including tuning and security hardening.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Data teams on architecture and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Must have strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production, preferably AWS RDS.
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a technical team.
- Expertise in high availability, failover, load balancing, and disaster recovery design.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Ability to manage complex, high-load, mission-critical systems.
- Background in fintech or trading platforms is an advantage.
