What you will do

• Build and operate core compute primitives powering production workloads on Kubernetes across regions and cloud providers.
• Improve delivery pipelines by evolving GitOps and deployment patterns for safer and faster rollouts.
• Define SLOs, build dashboards and alerts, write runbooks, and participate in on-call and incident response to maintain platform reliability.
• Enable effective self-service by creating reusable platform abstractions for product engineers.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Pittsburgh, United States
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience delivering pragmatic production solutions.
• Experience with distributed systems fundamentals and production systems.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure management tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Functional knowledge of Linux system administration and automation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience managing production infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, or Azure.
• Exposure to multi-cluster or multi-region architectures and operational patterns.
• Experience with service mesh and zero-trust networking patterns (e.g., Istio mTLS).
