Database Reliability Engineer

What you will do

• Maintain and automate properly configured clusters of Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Operate databases within Kubernetes and manage container images.
• Develop infrastructure services to support a full DevOps model.
• Troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues in collaboration with Engineering and Customer Support teams.
• Ensure the safety, security, and availability of petabytes of critical business data.

Requirements

• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Experience with large-scale datastores including Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL.
• Experience operating large-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and OCI.
• Ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or related field.
