Lead Electrical Engineer (IoT Hardware)

Lead Electrical Engineer (IoT Hardware): Architecting and designing electrical sub-systems for new IoT products with an accent on electrical design and system reliability. Focus on custom PCBAs, prototyping, and interacting with contract manufacturers to bring designs into mass production.

Location: Primary residence in the continental US. Note: This role is based in Canada, you must have a valid work permit.

Salary: CAD $93,000–$98,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Architect the electrical sub-system on new IoT products.
• Design custom PCBAs.
• Prototype and board bring up of the boards you design.
• Interact with contract manufacturers to get your designs into mass production.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Primary residence in the continental US (to facilitate overnight shipping to our clients and the majority of our software team).
• Note: This role is based in Canada, you must have a valid work permit. We do not sponsor work visas.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience.
• M.S. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
