Digital Design Engineer

TL;DR

Digital Design Engineer (Hardware): Develops new digital circuit architectures for SoCs, from concept to production, on advanced process nodes. Collaborates with a team on complex mixed-signal products and IPs. Focus on digital system-level design, including standard bus protocols and chip-level clock and reset architectures.

Location: Based in Newbury, England or willing to relocate within a commutable distance. Must be able to access technical data without needing an export license. Unable to sponsor or obtain export licenses for this role.

What you will do

• Design and develop new digital circuit architectures from concept through production on advanced process nodes.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers in delivering complex mixed-signal products and IPs.
• Contribute to technical reviews and ensure IP quality using checklists.
• Supervise junior engineers and influence the growth of the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master's or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) with experience in digital CMOS circuit design.
• Implementation of complex digital circuits and sub-systems in RTL using Verilog / SystemVerilog.
• Understanding of digital system-level design, including use of standard bus protocols.
• Verification of block-level digital designs.
• Understanding of synthesis and timing analysis of digital circuits.
• Good interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• DSP filter design using MATLAB, Simulink, and signal analysis techniques.
• Understanding, appreciation, and passion for mixed signal engineering.
• Experience working within UVM-based verification environments.
• Scripting and automation of design tasks.
