What you will do

• Oversee curation of news front pages at weekends, guiding Senior Journalists.
• Use significant news judgment for story, headline, image, and video selection, adapting quickly to breaking news.
• Collaborate with editors to create weekend curation plans using audience data insights.
• Lead daily editorial meetings with teams across the hirify.global to identify curation priorities.
• Workshop front-page headlines and images with editors and the picture desk.
• Interpret audience data to inform curation decisions and best practices.

Requirements

• Excellent editorial judgment with significant experience in digital curation in a fast-paced news environment.
• Proven experience covering the UK and international news agenda.
• Strong understanding of weekend news consumption habits.
• Sharp eye for accuracy, balance, context, and tone while working in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with a large newsroom.
• Track-record of using data to reach new audiences and drive habit.
