What you will do
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, QA, and Product Manager to solutionize feature requests.
- Lead the creation of detailed documentation for new features, including diagrams.
- Drive the development and implementation of advanced tests, ensuring high test coverage and reliability.
- Produce well-architected, efficient, and scalable code using industry-leading design patterns.
- Lead code reviews and pair programming sessions, guiding and mentoring colleagues.
- Actively participate in tech-talks, workshops, and team-based learning initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Object-Oriented languages and software development, specifically PHP.
- Advanced understanding and application of SOLID, DRY principles.
- Expertise in relational database technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and writing APIs and services in a service-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities through collaboration and mentorship.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided).
Nice to have
- Past experience with enterprise solutions and large-scale systems.
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology or other agile development processes.
- Experience with cloud computing, Docker, and containerisation.
- Familiarity with software best practices such as Refactoring, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, Test-Driven Development.
