SAP BTP API & AI Integration Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing API and AI integrations within the SAP BTP ecosystem with an accent on secure AI interactions with SAP data, API design, and backend development. Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra, Portugal (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit).

What you will do
- Design and develop APIs, including REST and GraphQL, with versioning strategies.
- Build and optimize SAP CAP services using CDS-based data modeling and Node.js.
- Integrate with the SAP backend ecosystem, including SAP HANA Cloud, OData V4 services, BTP API Management, and SAP Integration Suite.
- Implement authentication and security mechanisms like OAuth2, JWT, and API keys.
- Integrate and secure AI interactions with SAP data using the MCP protocol.
- Ensure API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger) and database optimization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in API design, backend development, and SAP CAP services.
- Strong knowledge of the SAP backend ecosystem (SAP CAP, SAP HANA Cloud, BTP API Management, SAP Integration Suite).
- Experience with authentication and security mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API keys) and MCP protocol implementation for AI interactions.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks, API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger), and event-driven architectures.
- English: B2 or higher.
- Work authorization and location: Must have Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit, for hybrid work in Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra.
