Location: Hybrid work with time split between Oakland, CA office and telecommuting from another U.S. location

Salary: $213,600-$215,000/year

What you will do

• Collaborate with backend, product, and quality engineering teams to build and deliver data products for stakeholders
• Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch processing workflows
• Develop and maintain high-performance, distributed databases supporting analytics and data applications
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance data engineering efficiency and system reliability
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, data lineage, and engineering standards
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of data issues, driving long-term fixes and preventative measures

Requirements

• Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering with 2+ years experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years progressive experience
• Must be located in the U.S. with hybrid work in Oakland, CA and telecommuting from another U.S. location
• Experience with Java, SQL distributed databases, SOAP architecture, and web services development
• Knowledge of system design, object-oriented design, continuous integration, and testing processes
• Experience with database functions, procedures, triggers, and deployment on Web Application Servers
• Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and resolution
