Director of Compliance and Risk (Fintech): Building and leading the Compliance & Risk function from the ground up for hirify.global Financial Services with an accent on designing and implementing the second line of defense and acting as the primary point of contact for the ACPR. Focus on greenfield regulatory project management, shaping governance, and embedding compliance into product and tech decisions.

Location: Must be based in France, with a strong preference for Paris. Regular on-site presence in Paris is expected; partial remote is possible, but this is not a fully remote role.

What you will do

• Design and implement the 2nd line of defense (compliance, risk, permanent controls) for payment services and financing.
• Act as primary point of contact for ACPR on regulatory, compliance, risk, and LCB-FT matters.
• Build and lead a multi-disciplinary compliance and risk team.
• Ensure overall hirify.global Financial Services ongoing compliance with applicable regulations.
• Design and oversee credit risk, operational risk, IT/Security risk, and outsourcing risk frameworks.
• Promote a "compliance as a business enabler" culture and roll out training programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in an ACPR-supervised environment, ideally as former RCCI / RCC / Head of Compliance & Risk.
• Experience managing a compliance team in a French ACPR-regulated entity.
• Hands-on LCB-FT/Tracfin experience, including KYC/KYB and transaction monitoring.
• Strong credit risk and ALM culture, with exposure to SME financing products.
• Excellent command of French financial regulation (Code monétaire et financier, ACPR doctrine, EBA guidelines, PSD2/PSD3, AML/CTF framework).
• Ability to build frameworks, policies, processes, tools, and reporting from scratch.
• Fluent French and English are mandatory.
