Infrastructure Architect

TL;DR

Infrastructure Architect: Designing and optimizing mission-critical server infrastructure with an accent on Linux system administration, virtualization, and containerization. Focus on performance tuning for low-latency environments and data center deployments.

Location: Hybrid, 3 times a week in the Porto office. Requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit.

What you will do

• Design and optimize mission-critical server infrastructure.
• Administer Linux systems (RHEL, SLES) including performance tuning.
• Implement and manage virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Deploy and maintain server hardware in data centers.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and shell scripting.
• Ensure reliability of production infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure architecture.
• Solid hands-on Linux system administration, including OS performance tuning for low-latency environments.
• Experience with server hardware, data center deployments, virtualization, and containerization.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation.
• Demonstrated experience supporting mission-critical server infrastructure in production.
• English language skills at least B2 level. Availability for a hybrid work model in Porto (3 times/week), requiring Portuguese or EU citizenship/work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with provisioning and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Knowledge of Windows environments and NAS administration.
