What you will do

• Manage and grow a distributed team of engineers, providing feedback and supporting career development.
• Partner with product management and engineering leadership to shape the IAM roadmap.
• Guide the team through the full project lifecycle, from design to delivery and iteration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including security, platform, and cloud infrastructure.
• Foster a team culture grounded in security-first thinking and technical rigor.
• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions on authentication and multi-tenant design.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background, ideally including work in backend systems using Go.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts like OAuth 2.0, SAML, RBAC, OIDC, JWT.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles: scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage delivery across multiple concurrent projects, align stakeholders, and communicate risks and timelines clearly.
• Deeply customer-focused, consistently grounding technical decisions in real-world user and admin impact.
• Comfort with AI-assisted tooling and integrating them into a team's workflow.
• English: B2 required.
• Must be based in the United States (excluding PST timezones).

Nice to have

• Experience working in security-critical environments.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
