TL;DR

Principal Digital Design Engineer (Automotive): Leading the design and implementation of in-vehicle networking (IVN) transceivers with an accent on architectural definition, functional safety, and silicon lifecycle management. Focus on complex digital logic implementation using SystemVerilog/Chisel, static timing closure, and guiding teams through successful tape-outs.

Location: Onsite (Glasgow, Eindhoven, Toulouse, Gratkorn, or Hamburg)

What you will do

  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and support of automotive networking devices.
  • Define block requirements and architecture while balancing area, power, and timing constraints.
  • Implement design intent in SystemVerilog or Chisel.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive functional safety requirements and design processes.
  • Collaborate with architecture, verification, and analog design teams to ensure quality delivery.
  • Manage performance and development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Proven track record of successful tape-outs in industry.
  • Expertise in silicon design including synthesis, static timing closure, and DFT.
  • Fluent in SystemVerilog or VHDL and an object-oriented software language.
  • Experience leading digital design teams as a chip, architect, or subsystem lead.
  • Ability to perform hands-on debug and silicon bringup.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Ethernet networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of embedded ARM or RISC-V processors.
  • Expertise in Chisel for digital design.
