TL;DR
Platform Engineer (DevOps): Designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure and internal developer platforms for data streaming and processing capabilities with an accent on DevOps practices and site reliability for critical systems like Kafka, Flink, and Temporal. Focus on managing on-premise Kubernetes clusters, ensuring seamless CI/CD workflows, and automating infrastructure provisioning for high availability and scalability.
Location: Onsite in Limassol, Cyprus with full relocation support provided.
Salary: 5,000 EUR/month net

What you will do
- Deploy, configure, and maintain high-throughput streaming clusters (Kafka, Kafka Connect) and manage cross-cluster replication using Mirror Maker 2.
- Manage and scale Temporal clusters to support reliable workflow orchestration across the organization.
- Maintain and optimize services running on on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
- Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring state consistency and reproducibility.
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and manage deployments via ArgoCD following GitOps best practices.
- Develop automation scripts and internal tooling using Python (and optionally Go) to improve engineering productivity.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting using Grafana, Alert Manager, and PagerDuty.
- Ensure all platform components adhere to security best practices, access controls, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite in Limassol, Cyprus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Hands-on experience managing streaming and orchestration platforms: Kafka, Kafka Connect, Mirror Maker 2, Flink, and Temporal.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting (specifically on-premise environments preferred).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of GitOps principles and tools, specifically ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD.
- Proficiency in observability and incident management tools: Grafana, Alert Manager, and PagerDuty.
- Solid programming skills in Python for automation and tooling.
- Advanced/Fluent English (C1/C2) for work and business purposes.

- Relevant certifications (Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, or similar).
- Knowledge of Go or Java.
