Focus on developing communication plans, managing media relations, and overseeing content development for senior leadership and social media.

Location: Onsite in Bethesda, MD.

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans.
• Manage media relations and coordinate external outreach efforts.
• Develop messaging materials for senior leadership engagements.
• Oversee social media content development and public affairs activities.
• Design and support development of visual media, graphics, and podcast episodes.
• Coordinate pre-publication and security reviews, and provide metrics reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Federal public affairs or external communications.
• Demonstrated experience managing media relations and drafting publications.
• Experience supporting requirements for video filming and production, podcasts, logo design, and/or presentation graphics/infographics.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community public affairs programs.
• Experience supporting research and development or highly technical organizations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
