Research Analyst (Risk and Technology Protection)

What you will do

• Conduct technical assessments and evaluate research initiatives to identify security, counterintelligence, and technology protection risks.
• Perform security reviews of research efforts and associated performers.
• Develop and support Risk Assessment documentation identifying protection requirements.
• Conduct Performer Vulnerability Assessments, including analysis of foreign ownership, influence, financial concerns, and business activities.
• Identify risks and recommend protection strategies addressing export controls, intellectual property, and classification.
• Analyze threat reporting and counterintelligence information impacting research programs.
• Review Contract Data Classification Guides (CDCGs) to ensure accurate classification markings.
• Provide briefings and written analyses to senior leadership to support planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate with security, acquisition, and program teams to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience supporting security, counterintelligence, or research protection activities.
• Demonstrated experience conducting security reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments related to foreign ownership or influence.
• Demonstrated experience drafting/updating/facilitating risk acceptance documents, security classification guides, vulnerability assessments, export control assessments, and program security reviews.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph is required.
