TL;DR

Security Analyst (Cybersecurity/Compliance): Overseeing RMF documentation and compliance to support system authorization with an accent on security control assessments and vulnerability analysis. Focus on ensuring full compliance with DoD/DoN policies and mitigating known threats within government networks.

Location: On-site in China Lake, CA

What you will do

  • Execute and oversee RMF documentation and compliance within eMASS to support system authorization.
  • Conduct security control assessments and technical validations to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Update risk assessment documentation, including Risk Assessment Reports and Plan of Actions & Milestones (POAM).
  • Perform vulnerability analysis to facilitate the determination of residual risk.
  • Support the continuous monitoring program and participate in the incident response process.
  • Collaborate with program teams and stakeholders to report technical findings clearly.

Requirements

  • Must have ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • IAM Level II Certificate or higher (Sec+, CAP, CASP+, CCISO, CISM, or CISSP).
  • B.S. in a Technical Field with 4 years of experience, or 6 years of experience in security measures for corporate or government networks.
  • Strong understanding of the RMF process and proficiency with eMASS, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker, VRAM, and Visio.
  • Prior experience supporting Navy-specific systems or enterprise networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
