What you will do
- Build and maintain data transformation, visualization, and AI tooling.
- Establish a data architecture for easy discovery, collaboration, and global data product reuse.
- Partner with data teams to scope and prioritize opportunities, delivering measurable business impact.
- Foster a growing community of Analytics Engineers through training, documentation, and collaboration.
- Manage a multi-skilled team of 3-5 engineers, supporting their development and happiness.
Requirements
- Passion for being at the cutting edge of analytics engineering, beyond dbt.
- Breadth and depth of experience in the Analytics development lifecycle.
- Extensive knowledge of Python and Git, with solid software engineering foundations (e.g., testing, CI/CD, observability).
- Ability to work with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing competing needs and prioritizing value.
- Autonomy and pragmatism, as projects will be varied and self-driven.
Nice to have
- Experience leading small teams.
- Familiarity with BI platforms like Lightdash, Looker, Omni, or Metabase.
- Experience managing software vendors.
