Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Strengthen quality awareness and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing of new and existing features.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure effective issue resolution without introducing regressions.
• Write automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript to increase test coverage and reliability.
• Analyze automation test results, debug failures, and report findings to the team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, designers, and product managers to advocate for quality.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software application testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Experience with regression testing, functional testing, and exploratory testing.
• Experience with manual testing, focusing on frontend and UX.
• Experience using an automated test suite like Playwright or Cypress.
• Familiarity with test documentation management, bug tracking systems, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD concepts.
• Basic understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Willingness to work from our Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Certifications like ISTQB are a strong plus.
