TL;DR

2D Artist (Gamedev): Designing and creating game art assets from concept to final renders for a flagship social casino title with an accent on engaging game elements and intuitive interfaces. Focus on upholding the project’s casual art style and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Hybrid, requiring 3 days per week from the Wave Office in Gdansk, Poland. Candidates must be authorized to work in Poland on a full-time basis without current or future visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Build concepts, mockups, and polished final renders of complex objects.
• Design engaging game elements and assets, including backgrounds, characters, isometric objects, tooltips, and icons.
• Develop intuitive and visually appealing game interfaces.
• Uphold and improve the project’s casual art style.
• Collaborate actively with other designers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience creating game art, with a strong portfolio.
• Expert-level knowledge of Photoshop and graphic tablets.
• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, perspective, and anatomy.
• Quick sketching skills and ability to produce accurate wireframes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with art production pipelines in the gaming industry and experience designing game interfaces.
• Must be authorized to work in Poland without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D tools (e.g., Blender).
• Animation experience.
