🦄 Description
Mysteria Studio is seeking a Performance Optimization Expert in Unreal Engine 5 for a freelance position to optimize the demo of our PC Action RPG project, Asterfel. You will be responsible for monitoring and improving demo performance, ensuring stable and optimized gameplay for low to mid-range PCs.

Asterfel is an upcoming Action RPG inspired by classic dark fantasy titles, featuring a unique art style that blends hyperrealism with artistic environments, a corruption system that enhances combat variety, and an immersive medieval world filled with quests, monsters, and ancient threats.

This is a fully remote freelance role with flexible working hours.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Optimize the game world for low to mid-range PCs such as RTX 3060 and Intel i5 10500
• Analyze current performance using Unreal Insights and similar tools
• Implement optimizations based on profiling results including LODs, HLODs, texture streaming and particle effect optimization
• Identify major performance bottlenecks and replace or remove problematic assets
• Create or modify existing C++ plugins and or Python scripts for performance tooling
• Write a performance guideline document for the team to prevent future issues

📚 Required Skills
• At least 5 years of Unreal Engine experience with a strong focus on performance optimization
• Experience setting up HLODs and optimizing particle effects
• Expert-level knowledge of Unreal Insights and performance tracking console commands
• Experience with C++ programming and or Python scripting for performance tooling
• Hardware capable of handling the project including 500GB SSD space, Desktop RTX 3080, Intel Core i7 10700 or better

👍 Nice to Have
• Experience optimizing large open environments in Action RPG projects
• Experience preparing builds for public demos
