Manager, Technical Program Manager - Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid workplace

Base salary: $213,000–$295,000 per year, excluding RSUs, stock appreciation rights, and potential sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of technical program managers supporting autonomy perception software.
• Set program management direction and improve development and release processes.
• Translate corporate strategy and milestones into product roadmaps, schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with autonomy, perception, software, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify milestones, risks, and budget requirements.
• Prepare technical presentations and represent the team in stakeholder, cross-departmental, and executive forums.
• Establish concise reporting on program status, risks, issues, and accomplishments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or management consulting.
• At least 5 years of experience managing technical program managers.
• Deep familiarity with autonomy software development processes and complex project management tools such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, and JIRA.
• Ability to maintain a strategic perspective and communicate clearly with different audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with perception, AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, large language models, reinforcement learning, simulation, automotive, or aerospace processes.
• Experience scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures, reporting, and escalation management.
• Experience managing through other managers.
