Mid Migration Engineer

What you will do

• Execute end-to-end migration activities for virtual machines from VMware to AWS Outposts and OpenShift.
• Perform environment discovery and dependency mapping using tools like RVTools.
• Replicate, rehost, or replatform virtual machines and implement network adjustments.
• Coordinate cutover activities following defined migration waves.
• Provide hypercare support post-migration, validating functionality and resolving issues.
• Maintain detailed migration documentation and reports.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in VMware administration, infrastructure engineering, or cloud migration projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere or VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Experience working with AWS migration tools, AWS Outposts, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Familiarity with OpenShift environments, including workload validation, scaling, and service management.
• Solid Linux administration skills with advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
• Scripting experience using Shell or Python for automation and operational tasks.
