What you will do

• Execute end-to-end migration activities, including discovery, planning, execution, troubleshooting, and stabilization of virtual machines.
• Transition virtual machines from VMware environments to AWS Outposts and OpenShift platforms.
• Perform environment discovery and dependency mapping using tools such as RVTools.
• Carry out replication, rehosting, or replatforming of virtual machines, implementing required network adjustments, and coordinating cutover activities.
• Provide hypercare support post-migration by validating functionality, resolving issues, optimizing performance, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in VMware administration, infrastructure engineering, or cloud migration projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere or VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Experience working with AWS migration tools, AWS Outposts, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Familiarity with OpenShift environments, including workload validation, scaling, and service management.
• Solid Linux administration skills with advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
• Scripting experience using Shell or Python for automation and operational tasks.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Ability to execute structured migration runbooks and follow governance and compliance frameworks.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
