What you will do

• Build end-to-end features across the Electron app (UI + Node/TypeScript backend layers).
• Design robust integrations with Codex CLI and app server (Rust), including process lifecycle and error handling.
• Own IPC architecture and patterns, managing renderer/main boundaries and message schemas.
• Build systems for orchestration, including long-running tasks, progress updates, and state synchronization.
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance through logging, tracing, and profiling.
• Partner with design and product to define and ship crisp workflows.

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript/Node fundamentals.
• Experience with Electron or desktop app architecture.
• Comfortable integrating with native processes/services like Rust.
• Knowledge of IPC patterns and distributed-systems-like thinking locally.
• Strong product judgment and ability to iterate based on usage and feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience with developer tools, CLIs, or IDE integrations.
