Design Engineer

TL;DR

Design Engineer (ASIC): Building and optimizing integrated circuit designs at speeds exceeding 2GHz with an accent on customer communications, floor planning, and physical verification. Focus on timing analysis & closure, physical integration of custom logic, and debugging complex design issues.

Location: Onsite in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required.

Salary: $60,200–$96,300 annually

What you will do

• Participate in the IC design team for CMOS ASICs.
• Perform floor planning, routing, timing analysis & closure for chips and blocks.
• Integrate memories, SerDes, I/O, test, and clocking structures.
• Design complex standard-cell and custom blocks.
• Conduct physical verification to ensure error-free artwork/mask release.
• Debug complex design issues during and after release.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
• Hands-on experience taking integrated circuit designs from concept to product release.
• Understanding of design tradeoffs for power, area, and performance.
