What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering ownership and continuous learning.
• Build and maintain scalable, globally available applications and platforms, including automation, intelligent workflows, and recommendation experiences.
• Ensure high standards of quality, reliability, security, and performance for software components.
• Drive the design and evolution of microservices, APIs, and platforms integrating with data pipelines and inference services.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including testing, observability, and scalability strategies.
• Lead architecture and design discussions to deliver solutions aligned with business goals and technical strategy.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership and people management role.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring framework.
• Proficiency in Microservices architecture, REST APIs, and public cloud platforms (AWS).
• Solid understanding of system fundamentals, including software development lifecycle, data quality, and monitoring.
• Proven ability to estimate, plan, and manage multiple concurrent projects with cross-team dependencies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience building and supporting systems that integrate with AI/ML components, model inference services, or intelligent automation workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud-native services and GoLang.
• Experience in Expense Management and Travel industry domains.
• Exposure to responsible AI practices, governance, or compliance considerations.
