What you will do

• Build and maintain small-to-medium sized cloud services adhering to Checkout Engineering standards and architectural patterns.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers to deliver project-level work within your team.
• Take full operational responsibility for your services, providing triage and support for high availability.
• Create well-documented solutions that are easy to understand.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements within your team's cloud footprint.
• Display high accountability for tasks and urgency during incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a cloud engineering role with core Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, App Services, and CosmosDB.
• Foundational knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Basic understanding of Azure networking patterns and security best practices (Azure Key Vault, RBAC).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) and a DevOps mindset.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to triage common flows unaided during incidents.
• Great communication skills (English B2+) to provide clear updates and interact with stakeholders.
