TL;DR

Engineer II, Golang (Data Platform): Building and optimizing high-scalable data streaming products for a global product analytics service with an accent on real-time data collection and distributed system reliability. Focus on developing backend services and SDKs for millions of users, contributing to system architecture, and implementing infrastructure as code.

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (2 days a week onsite)

What you will do

• Work on an in-house product analytics solution tracking millions of events per minute from end customers.
• Contribute to backend services and service SDKs for Android, iOS, and web platforms used by millions of users.
• Support system architecture designs during weekly refinement meetings.
• Be fully responsible for service implementation, including server-side code and infrastructure deployment.
• Mentor other members of the team and new joiners.
• Review current tech-debt and provide improvements as required.

Requirements

• 3+ years of strong production experience with Golang
• Cloud architecture experience using GCP fundamentals
• 5+ years experience developing complex software systems scaling to millions of users with production quality deployment, monitoring and reliability
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to reason about complex systems at scale.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, global environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in streaming technologies such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, GCP Pubsub, or Redpanda.
