TL;DR

Engineer II, Golang (Data Platform): Working on building a highly scalable product analytics service (Perseus) that tracks millions of events per minute for hirify.global's global product analytics. Focus on contributing to backend services and service SDKs for Android, iOS, and web, and system architecture designs.

Location: Must join the team for face-to-face connection and collaboration in our beautiful Berlin campus 2 days a week

What you will do

• Work on the in-house product analytics solution tracking millions of events per minute from end customers.
• Contribute to backend services and service SDKs for Android, iOS, and web used by millions of users.
• Contribute to system architecture designs during weekly refinement meetings.
• Be fully responsible for the implementation of services, from server-side code to infrastructure deployment (DevOps skills).
• Mentor other team members and new joiners.
• Review current tech debt and provide improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of strong production experience with Golang.
• Cloud architecture experience using GCP fundamentals.
• 5+ years of experience developing complex software systems scaling to millions of users with production-quality deployment, monitoring, and reliability.
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to reason about complex systems at scale.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, global environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in streaming technologies such as Kafka / AWS Kinesis / GCP Pubsub / Redpanda.
