Location: Must be based in Mexico, with options for hybrid work from our Mexico City office or full remote within Mexico.

What you will do

• Lead the enhancement of internal data processes, focusing on infrastructure scaling, data delivery, and automation.
• Design and implement advanced ETL infrastructure using AWS and SQL technologies.
• Develop sophisticated analytical tools leveraging data pipelines for business insights.
• Architect and manage extensive, sophisticated data sets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including executive, product, data, and design teams, providing high-level support and technical advice.
• Mentor senior engineers, define technical direction, and lead cross-team engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure, with the ability to lead complex projects.
• Proficiency in Python and Scala.
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of database design, SQL, NoSQL, and optimizing database performance.
• Proficiency in Git, Terraform, and experience with CI/CD practices.
• Experience in managing event-driven systems (Kafka ecosystems).
• Expertise in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and data security principles.
