What you will do
- Design, create, test, and maintain asset rigs.
- Collaborate with character artists, vehicles team, and technical animators to solve animation issues and consult on design.
- Develop and maintain motion and deformation systems.
- Research and test new techniques and workflows to improve animation pipelines.
- Write pipeline tools to streamline setup processes.
- Coordinate with leads and production to estimate and plan work.
Requirements
- Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in a similar position within the movie, broadcast, or gaming industries.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong technical and creative skills.
- Animation and rigging experience in Maya and Motion Builder across diverse asset types.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 and procedural animation system development.
- Experience in tool development and automation using C++ and/or Python.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences.
- Must include a portfolio in your application.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with machine learning systems.
- Experience with Epic’s Metahuman workflow and pipeline.
