What you will do
- Whitebox and greybox levels, planning and executing asset layouts with gameplay and story in mind.
- Coordinate with the Environment Team for asset needs and manage project structure/gameplay-related requirements.
- Prepare and light scenes using baked or realtime lights, create different lighting scenarios, and utilize visual effects.
- Create and work with Post Processing to enhance game visuals according to platform needs.
- Coordinate with Art Director/Lead on game style and with Producers on development schedule.
- Be proactive in research and suggest solutions for various development issues.
Requirements
- 2.5+ years of professional experience as a Level Artist in the Games Industry.
- Thorough knowledge of Unreal and Unity game engines, and terrain generators like World Machine or Gaia.
- Sufficient knowledge of a modeling tool like 3d Studio Max or Maya, and Photoshop.
- Ability to work from concept or reference, provide creative input, and adapt quality for prototyping/polishing.
- Love to collaborate and work within a team, willing to provide and accept direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with the creation of Open World games.
- Experience with visual scripting (e.g., Blueprints).
- Experience with environment animations.
