Senior Software Engineer (Python): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for hirify.global's live entertainment platform with an accent on API design, database performance, and scalability. Focus on microservices architecture, solving complex concurrency challenges, and ensuring system reliability under heavy traffic.

Location: Remote within Spain. Relocation package available for international candidates to Spain.

Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 EUR (Base Salary)

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end features within your squad.
• Participate in architectural discussions and propose improvements across services and APIs.
• Work with event-driven systems focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams to enhance the platform and developer experience.
• Take ownership of core components and evolve their architecture.
• Lead by example through code reviews, design sessions, and mentoring to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of good practices, testing, and design patterns.
• Proficient in business English.
• Experience delivering code from development to production.
• Experience with RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption).
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django/Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working with agile methodology and event communication between services.
• Experience handling services with more than 1000 requests/second.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
