Senior Software Engineer (JVM/AWS)

Location: This role requires candidates to be based in Mexico, with a hybrid option available from the Mexico City office.

What you will do

• Drive the design and implementation of new features and platform services.
• Create and maintain test automation for continuous integration and development.
• Design and deliver robust microservices integrations via REST/gRPC APIs and messaging patterns.
• Collaborate and mentor other engineers through code, design, and architecture reviews.
• Debug production issues across services infrastructure and multiple levels of the stack.
• Work with distributed systems and services, producing high-quality code.

Requirements

• 4+ years of development experience in Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one JVM programming language (Java, Kotlin, or Scala) and experience with a major framework like Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, Kinesis).
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architecture.
