Salary: $21 to $23 per hour (CAD)

What you will do

• Collaborate with developers to build new features and enhance existing ones.
• Improve unit test coverage to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Assist in the consolidation and standardization of technical documentation.
• Support application modernization initiatives.
• Explore emerging technologies and contribute to development tasks related to payment system architecture.

Requirements

• Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a creditable Canadian institution with a focus on computer science, software engineering or similar field.
• Experience and understanding of programming languages, databases, unit testing, and code management tools.
• Knowledge in Java Springboot is an advantage, and willingness to learn and grow your skills in this framework.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python or OOP).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend service development.
• Experience using version control systems like Git and exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Exposure to containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of payment systems or financial technologies.
• Experience working with machine learning and/or data analytics.
