What you will do

• Lead and grow multiple engineering squads, supporting ICs and managers to deliver reliable, scalable systems.
• Contribute to a clear technical and organisational vision for Trust & Safety engineering.
• Embed AI thoughtfully into engineering practices for detection, automation, and operational decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, Design, Legal, and Operations leaders.
• Guide architectural decisions across distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Champion engineering excellence by improving delivery practices, reliability metrics, and incident response.

Requirements

• Strong experience leading multiple engineering squads or groups with accountability for delivery, technical direction, and team health.
• Fluent in modern engineering systems and practices, including distributed architectures, service reliability, and secure data handling.
• Actively embed AI into team workflows, guiding adoption and evaluating opportunities for automation and insight.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, take ownership of outcomes, and adapt plans quickly.
• Typically requires 10–15 years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
• Must be based in Austin, Texas, USA, and work in a hybrid format.
