What you will do

• Define and execute IT strategy, covering infrastructure, end-user computing, and service desk.
• Define and own IT security & compliance strategy, including policies, risk frameworks, and incident response.
• Manage IT/Security budget and vendor contracts.
• Lead IT onboarding and off-boarding processes for all team members.
• Ensure operational stability of the IT estate and maintain high service levels.
• Build, lead, and mentor the IT & security team and managed service partners.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role (Head of IT, IT Director or equivalent) in a high-growth mid-sized technology company (100–500 employees).
• Strong background managing IT infrastructure (servers, workstations, network, cloud, endpoints) and service delivery.
• Solid experience in IT security and compliance, including risk assessment, incident management, and policy formulation.
• Experience with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC1/SOC2, GDPR).
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong team leadership and people development experience.
• Work onsite in Wallingford, UK.
