What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Rust for new and existing features of hirify.global Cyber Protect and Cyber Protect Cloud
  • Build high-performance, reliable, and memory-safe services focusing on correctness and scalability
  • Write unit, integration, and service-level tests; participate in code reviews
  • Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, QA, and infrastructure teams
  • Contribute to defining Rust coding standards, libraries, and best practices

Requirements

  • Location: Bulgaria
  • English: Ability to communicate in English
  • 5+ years of Rust development experience
  • Experience with async Rust ecosystems (Tokio, async/await, Axum/Actix/Warp)
  • Knowledge of Go and REST API development
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and Kubernetes

Nice to have

  • Experience migrating or rewriting services from Go/Python to Rust
  • Experience with MS and Google cloud APIs
  • Interest or experience in AI-assisted development and AI/ML capabilities
  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar distributed systems
  • Familiarity with observability in distributed systems
  • Basic understanding of C/C++ or Rust FFI integration
