3D Artist (5-month Contract)

TL;DR

3D Artist (Game Development): Developing and amending 3D assets and terrain for a tactical RTS remaster with an accent on PBR response, updated aesthetics, and set decoration. Focus on exploring and iterating on pipelines, delivering high-caliber artwork, and collaborating with the dev team.

Location: Remote (within Canada) or in-studio (Vancouver, BC, Canada) or hybrid.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 a year

What you will do

• Work closely with the Art Lead and development team to create artwork for a tactical Remaster.
• Amend RTS assets and terrain to have a modern PBR response and updated aesthetic.
• Apply new Set Decoration for existing maps that fit with the design brief.
• Explore, revise, and iterate on pipelines and gameplans quickly and efficiently.
• Consistently deliver asset work of the highest caliber that can inspire the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to work in a proprietary game engine.
• Ability to create 3D production assets and Substance materials (Painter and/or Designer).
• Experience with RTS, demonstrating an understanding of the genre's visual requirements.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment, with experience collaborating with Art Leads.
