What you will do
- Create a library of procedural materials in Substance Designer.
- Collaborate with art and engineering teams to create visually stunning and optimized assets.
- Ensure materials and shaders integrate seamlessly into the game environment.
- Optimize materials and shaders for performance without compromising visual quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to materials and shaders.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies in material and shader creation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Material Artist.
- Proficiency in Substance Designer and Unreal Engine, particularly in material and shader creation.
- Strong understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) principles.
- Experience with node-based shader creation.
- Excellent artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with other game engines (e.g., Unity).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or HLSL.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and texturing tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, Substance Painter).
- Background in traditional art or graphic design.
